Khlong Roi Sai (Hundred Canals) is a brackish water area at the mouth of the Tapi River with more than 100 small canals, surrounded by coconut plantations and Nipa palm forests, ideal for boating, photography, and nature-based relaxation. Nipa Palm Tunnel and Fireflies:
A highlight is a longtail boat trip through the Nipa palm tunnel, where the tops of the Nipa palms lean towards each other, forming a emerald green tunnel. During the day, you can take photos of the natural scenery and study local plants such as Sonneratia caseolaris, Nipa palms, fragrant coconuts, and observe small aquatic animals in the canal.

At sunset, the riverside canal turns into a firefly paradise with millions of fireflies showing off their shimmering lights. Tourists can sit on a boat and watch them closely with staff guiding them to the best viewing spots.

• By car/motorcycle: From Surat Thani City Pillar Shrine, cross the Sri Tapi Bridge and head towards Bang Bai Mai Sub-district. Follow the signs to Wat Bang Bai Mai.

• By boat: Contact to charter a longtail boat from the pier on the riverfront in front of the city. Cross the Tapi River to Khlong Roi Sai.

• Complete Trip: Recommended to come on a Sunday to visit the Bang Bai Mai Pracharat Floating Market before boating to see the Nipa palm tunnel to complete all activities.

• Firefly Watching at Night: You should book a boat in advance and come on a dark night to see the fireflies most clearly.

• Respect Nature: Refrain from using flashlights, flashes, and making loud noises while watching fireflies to avoid disturbing the ecosystem.
