Climate: Generally similar to the weather in Thailand, but drier and hotter. The temperature ranges from approximately 24 to 35 degrees Celsius. The rainy season is during May to October, and the dry or cool season is around November to April.

Geography: Cambodia has an area of approximately 181,035 square kilometers. Its widest part from east to west is 580 kilometers, and from north to south is 450 kilometers. 

Currency: It is recommended to use USD or Riel the Cambodian currency. Using USD is considered very convenient. You should exchange money in Thailand as it is more convenient and offers better value. Also, beware of counterfeit money. You can also withdraw money from an ATM. If you select the English menu, you will receive US Dollars. If you use the Khmer menu, you will receive Cambodian Riel. Banks are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

Language: The Khmer language and accent are said to be the oldest languages in Southeast Asia, with roots tracing back to the Brahmi script from Southern India, and influenced by Pali and Sanskrit from Buddhism. When the French governed Cambodia, a significant portion of the population could speak French. Currently, English is the second language, and many young Cambodians can speak French, English, Thai, etc. There are many schools teaching these languages, especially in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, which are Cambodia's main tourist provinces.
