“It is distinguished by its wooden nature trail through one of the most intact mangrove forests in the country, complemented by a tranquil beach suitable for relaxation and outdoor activities in a cool, shady environment.”

Pranburi Forest Park is a critically important conservation area in the Pranburi District. It was established under the Royal Initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother (Somdet Phra Nang Chao Sirikit Phra Borommarachininat Phra Borommaratchachonnani Phanpi Luang), who initiated the restoration of the deteriorated forest area at the mouth of the Pranburi River. The original area was part of the Khlong Kao-Khlong Khoi National Forest Reserve, with the Pranburi River flowing through the center. Currently, the park spans approximately 700 rai (about 277 acres) and is overseen by the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation.

Ecosystem and Key Features: Pranburi Forest Park is recognized as one of the most complete and beautiful spots to observe the mangrove ecosystem. It is densely populated with diverse mangrove species, including the dominant Gangkang (Rhizophora), Samae (Avicennia), and Lamphu (Sonneratia) trees. These plants serve as a vital food source and habitat for various aquatic animals and birds, resulting in high biodiversity. Visitors can explore this natural wonder via the 1,000-meter-long wooden nature trail, which extends deep into the mangrove forest. The secure bridge features interpretive signs along the entire route, allowing guests to learn about the natural resources up close and observe local wildlife such as mudskippers, fiddler crabs, and shells in the muddy flats. Its main appeal is the quiet serenity and the cool shade provided by the dense, green foliage.

Activities and Facilities: Beyond the nature walk, the Forest Park offers other appealing activities, such as a boat ride (with an additional fee) to experience the beauty of the mangrove ecosystem by water and observe the lifestyle of local residents along the Pranburi Canal (approximately 40 minutes). The park also boasts a clean beach area lined with casuarina trees stretching for over 1 kilometer, perfect for relaxing walks, cycling, or seaside camping. This beach offers clear views of the sea, Koh Singto (Lion Island), Khao Takiab, and Khao Tao, making the atmosphere particularly romantic and impressive during sunset.

Visitor Experience: This location is genuinely suitable for the entire family. It serves as an excellent natural learning center for youth and a perfect retreat for couples or individuals seeking tranquility. Photographers will delight in capturing the spectacular sight of the golden samet (Tung Prong Thong) and the long wooden bridge winding through the green forest at dawn or dusk. A visit here offers both physical and mental relaxation, while also allowing one to appreciate the history of the valuable forest restoration project under Royal Patronage.

We invite everyone to experience the wonder of the rich mangrove forest and immerse themselves in the quiet serenity of nature at Pranburi Forest Park to rejuvenate and collect unforgettable memories.
