Wat Luang is a large and important temple in Mae Chaem, where the people respect the faith. Karen or Yang is the creator of this temple. It is presumed to have been built around the 24th century or early Rattanakosin period. There are also inscriptions at the base of the Buddha image that was restored in 1864.

Things to do is to visit the castle or kitchens, located behind the temple in the temple. Ancient people are considered door to heaven. The architectural style of the Kut is a Bagan from Burma mixed. Lanna is a very beautiful Chiang Saen.
