Phu Pha Lom Forest Park is located in Mueang Loei District, Loei Province. Its history began when it was officially established as a forest park on March 15, 1996. Initially, the park covered approximately 8,500 rai, later expanded to a total area of 9,756.54 rai (about 15.61 square kilometers).

The park features a rugged landscape of limestone and granite mountains, with the highest peak reaching about 856 meters above sea level, and other peaks ranging from 400 to 700 meters. These peaks are characterized by steep cliffs, caves, and highland plains of up to 700 rai, surrounded by mountains on all sides.

Phu Pha Lom Forest Park offers several natural attractions, including Phu Pha Lom Cave, Pha Bong Cave, natural waterholes, and springs, which are connected with local beliefs. The park's viewpoints provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and forests, especially breathtaking in the early morning or cool season when mist blankets the landscape.

The flora and fauna are diverse, including mixed deciduous forests, dry dipterocarp forests, and limestone forests. Ground plants and local herbs are abundant. Wildlife includes barking deer, various bird species, squirrels, and colorful butterflies.

The park provides a tranquil atmosphere suitable for relaxation, hiking, and ecological study. Visitors can experience pristine nature and enjoy the cool, misty mornings, particularly in the winter.

• By car: Take Highway 201 through Mueang Loei, then follow local roads to the park, about 10–15 minutes.

• By public transport: Local minibuses or motorcycle taxis from Mueang Loei can reach the park conveniently.

• Wear suitable shoes for hiking and climbing.

• The best time to visit is during the cool season for misty views.

• Bring water and snacks as there are no shops in the park.

• Follow park rules, do not litter, and help preserve the environment.
