Wat Si Bun Rueang is an ancient temple and the spiritual center of Mae Chai District. Its main sacred feature is Phra Chao Ong Dam, enshrined in the temple hall. This Maravichai posture Buddha has a 27-inch wide lap, 37-inch height_, and black surface.

By Car:
- From Phayao town, take Highway 1 (Phayao–Chiang Rai) north for 15–20 km. Turn at Si Bun Rueang Intersection onto local roads leading to the temple Temple parking is available for visitors.
By Public Transport:
- Take a bus or minivan from Phayao town to Mae Chai District.
Get off at Si Bun Rueang Intersection, then take a local songthaew or motorbike taxi to the temple (2–3 km)
