The Old City Hall of Phang Nga is a significant historical structure that represents the administrative and urban development of the province in the early 20th century. It was originally built to serve as the provincial administrative center during a period of growth and modernization in Phang Nga.

The building is a two-story masonry structure designed in colonial architectural style influenced by European design, adapted for tropical conditions. Features such as large windows, high ceilings, and arched openings help improve ventilation and reduce heat, demonstrating thoughtful architectural adaptation.

Historically, this building functioned as the center of provincial governance, where key administrative decisions and official activities took place. It played an important role in shaping the development of Phang Nga before the government offices were relocated to a newer facility.

Due to its architectural and historical significance, the Fine Arts Department of Thailand has registered the building as a national ancient monument. Today, although it is no longer used as the main government office, it remains well preserved as part of the province’s cultural heritage.

The surrounding area offers a peaceful atmosphere, with views of the distinctive limestone mountains that define Phang Nga’s landscape. Visitors can walk around the exterior, appreciate the architectural beauty, and capture memorable photos of this classic landmark.
