“A magnificent multi-tiered waterfall famous for its massive boulders stacked in a way that creates a natural stone bridge crossing the stream, a rare geological feature in the region.”

Saphan Hin Waterfall is a famous and highly significant natural attraction of Laem Klat Subdistrict, Trat Province. The waterfall itself is located within a tropical rainforest that maintains an excellent and pristine ecosystem. This waterway originates from the Banthat Mountain Range, which serves as a natural border between Thailand and Cambodia. The cascading water is crystal clear and refreshingly cool all year round, making this place a popular recreation spot for Trat locals and tourists who enjoy tranquility and light adventure.

The distinctive physical feature that gives the waterfall its name is the group of large boulders laid across one another in a position that looks like a natural stone bridge crossing the waterfall stream. This creates an unusual landscape and serves as the most beautiful photography spot. The waterfall consists of several tiers, each with a different beauty. The highlight tier features a wide pool suitable for swimming. The surrounding area is encircled by various forest plants that provide shade and create fresh air, helping visitors feel quickly relaxed from their exhaustion.

For seasonal tourism, during the rainy season, the waterfall has an especially large volume of water, making the falling streams look grand and powerful, though caution must be exercised as the rocks can be slippery. During the winter and summer, the water is as clear as glass, revealing schools of small fish, and the water volume decreases to its safest level. For families bringing children to relax, the surroundings are filled with the sounds of birds and forest insects, creating natural music that helps heal the mind throughout the stay at this waterfall.

Beyond swimming, Saphan Hin Waterfall also attracts trekkers and nature explorers due to its short nature study trails that offer opportunities to encounter rare plants and various types of ferns that grow densely in the waterfall's humidity. For artists and photographers, the sunlight filtering through the bushes onto the water spray creates a beautiful and magical dimension to the images. The quietness of the area is also conducive to recreational activities requiring concentration, such as landscape painting or capturing nature in close-up (Macro Photography).

The outstanding feature of Saphan Hin Waterfall is its accessibility, which is not too difficult yet still gives the feeling of being in the heart of a deep forest. This place is, therefore, an important landmark that nature tourists should not miss when visiting Trat Province. Besides experiencing the beauty of the waterfall, visitors can also witness the cooperation of the local community in preserving natural resources sustainably for the future.
