“Relax on a long, clean white sand beach with a private atmosphere while visiting a historical museum depicting global humanitarian aid by the Thai Red Cross.”

Ratchakarun Beach formerly known as Khao Lan Beach, is a beautiful and tranquil beach located within the Ratchakarun Center, Thai Red Cross Society, Khao Lan. This beach is prominent for its fine white sand and clear seawater stretching as far as the eye can see. The surrounding area is well-maintained and clean. The beach is embraced by pine trees and coastal flora providing cool shade throughout the day, making it a perfect getaway for those seeking to escape the bustle and truly absorb nature.

In addition to its natural beauty, this site holds significant humanitarian history. In the past, this area served as the Thai Red Cross Center at Khao Lan, established through the royal mercy of King Rama IX and Queen Sirikit to provide refuge for Cambodian refugees fleeing war. Thus, Hat Ratchakarun is not just a tourist destination but a monument of mercy engraved in the area, with stories showcased in the Ratchakarun Pavilion Museum.

Tourists can enjoy swimming safely as the beach has a gentle slope and calm waves during the peak season. The atmosphere offers a serene relaxation experience, vastly different from typical commercial beaches. Visitors can feel the pure sea breeze and the sound of waves that soothe the mind, especially during the evening when it offers one of the most stunning sunset views on mainland Trat.

For photographers and families, Hat Ratchakarun is a paradise for capturing nature and safe activity spaces. The vast beach area allows children to run and play on the white sand, while artists and writers often visit for inspiration from the quiet beauty. Furthermore, there are nature trails and botanical gardens featuring various herbs and rare plants to explore.

We invite you to experience this beach of mercy, where natural beauty blends with valuable history, ensuring your holiday is filled with peace and unforgettable impressions.
