In the past, this area served as the Thai Red Cross Center at Khao Lan, established through the royal mercy of King Rama IX and Queen Sirikit to provide refuge for Cambodian refugees fleeing war. Thus, Hat Ratchakarun is not just a tourist destination but a monument of mercy engraved in the area, with stories showcased in the Ratchakarun Pavilion Museum.

• Private Car: From Trat city, take Highway 3 (Trat-Khlong Yai). At approximately KM 48, the Ratchakarun Center entrance is on the right. Ample parking is available near the beach.

• Public Transport: Take a van or bus on the Trat-Khlong Yai-Hat Lek route from Trat terminal and ask to get off at Ratchakarun Center.

• Best Season: November to April provides the clearest water and calmest waves, ideal for swimming.

• Equipment: Bring your own swimming gear and towels, as well as sunscreen due to the strong sun.

• Photography: 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM is the Golden Hour, offering the best light for sea and museum views.

• Food and Culture: The center features a welfare restaurant serving fresh seafood and high-quality beverages at affordable prices.
