“A fusion of modern minimalism and Tokyo’s architectural heritage on the iconic Omotesando Avenue.”

Omotesando Hills is a luxury retail and residential complex that serves as the heart of the stylish Omotesando district, often dubbed the “Champs-Élysées of Tokyo.” Designed by the internationally acclaimed architect Tadao Ando, the structure was created to blend seamlessly with the natural slope of Omotesando Avenue.

Built on the historic site of the Dōjunkai Aoyama Apartments — one of Tokyo’s first modern residential buildings — its 2006 redevelopment became a landmark event in Japan’s architectural evolution. The new design pays tribute to its legacy by integrating history and innovation.

Stretching approximately 250 meters along Omotesando Avenue, the building appears as an organic extension of the street itself. Inside, a continuous sloping walkway replaces conventional escalators, allowing visitors to explore each level smoothly and intuitively.

The complex houses luxury international and Japanese designer boutiques, fine jewelry brands, and sophisticated lifestyle stores, complemented by chic cafes and elegant restaurants — a serene, stylish haven for lovers of art, design, and fashion.
