“Take photos with the group of unique rock nodes on the vast plain, feel the cool breeze at the high cliffside, and experience the wonders of nature that are rare to find in Thailand.”
Lan Hin Pum is the iconic landmark of Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. It features a vast stone plain along a cliffside covered with unique, rounded rock outcrops. This natural phenomenon was created by millions of years of erosion caused by wind and water, resulting in these mysterious and exotic formations. Historically, this area served as a recovery spot for the wounded members of the Communist Party of Thailand, as the constant breeze and open air provided a cool and well-ventilated environment, while the cliff offered a clear vantage point of the surroundings.
To reach Lan Hin Pum, tourists walk through a lush nature trail filled with forest flora and tiny wild flowers growing in rock crevices. During the rainy and early winter seasons, green moss and lichens cover the rocks, adding a fresh and vibrant feel to the atmosphere. Once you arrive at the site, you are greeted by the cool mountain breeze and a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. It is an ideal spot for relaxing and taking check-in photos that are unlike anywhere else.
The beauty of Lan Hin Pum changes throughout the day. In the morning, you might see a light sea of mist drifting through the valleys, while in the late afternoon, the soft sunlight hits the rock nodes, creating beautiful shadows and depth. These geological features are not just beautiful but also reflect the incredible changes of our planet over time. Standing on this plain gives you a sense of connection to both nature and history simultaneously.
A visit to Lan Hin Pum is a must for photographers and light adventurers. Beyond being impressed by the strange rock shapes, you will get to breathe in the pure air at over a thousand meters above sea level a perfect way to recharge before continuing your journey through the park.
