Lan Hin Pum is the iconic landmark of Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. It features a vast stone plain along a cliffside covered with unique, rounded rock outcrops. This natural phenomenon was created by millions of years of erosion caused by wind and water, resulting in these mysterious and exotic formations. Historically, this area served as a recovery spot for the wounded members of the Communist Party of Thailand, as the constant breeze and open air provided a cool and well-ventilated environment, while the cliff offered a clear vantage point of the surroundings.

To reach Lan Hin Pum, tourists walk through a lush nature trail filled with forest flora and tiny wild flowers growing in rock crevices. During the rainy and early winter seasons, green moss and lichens cover the rocks, adding a fresh and vibrant feel to the atmosphere. • From the national park office, drive for about 4 kilometers to the trailhead. Then, walk along the nature trail for approximately 1.2 kilometers to reach Lan Hin Pum.

• Wear Proper Shoes: The path consists of rocky and uneven ground. It is recommended to wear sneakers or hiking boots with good grip.

• Be Careful Near the Cliff: The stone plain is located right on the cliff edge with no railings. Please use extra caution while walking and taking photos.

• Bring Drinking Water: You should carry water with you because there are no shops along the walking trail.
