Bang Tao Beach is located on the west coast of Phuket Island and stretches approximately 6 kilometers, making it one of the longest and most beautiful beaches in Phuket. Bang Tao Beach is about 24 kilometers from Phuket Town. To get there, take Thepkasattri Road northwards passing the Thep Krasattri and Sri Sunthon monuments. Then turn left onto Sri Sunthon Road and continue for about 12 kilometers until you reach Surin Beach. From there, turn right and drive another 2 kilometers to reach Bang Tao Bay.

The beach is situated at the foot of hills lined with pine trees that provide shade along the shore. While the sand is not the finest, it is clean and white, offering a pleasant environment for swimming during the dry season. However, during the monsoon season, strong waves and winds make swimming unsafe. To the north of the beach lies a beautiful coral reef, ideal for snorkeling.

Surrounding Bang Tao Beach are numerous luxury resorts, including many 5-star properties within the Laguna Phuket area, complete with golf courses, international restaurants, and full amenities. How to Get There

From Phuket International Airport: Take Thepkasattri Road (Route 402) north for about 20 km, then turn left onto Sri Sunthon Road for 12 km, followed by a right turn toward Bang Tao Bay.
From Phuket Town: Head north on Thepkasattri Road passing the Thep Krasattri and Sri Sunthon monuments, then left onto Sri Sunthon Road.
Public Transport: Local songthaews (shared taxis) and tuk-tuks run from Phuket Town and other areas to Bang Tao Beach.
By Car/Motorbike: Easily accessible via well-maintained roads with parking available near main resort entrances.
