“This hot spring stands out for its extremely high temperature of 95°C, with water continuously gushing from the rocks, making it ideal for boiling eggs and observing a unique natural phenomenon rather than for bathing.”
Muang Paeng Hot Spring is a significant and famous natural attraction in Mae Hong Son province, known for its untouched and authentic natural beauty. It is located within a forest area near a park ranger unit, allowing visitors to experience a serene and refreshing atmosphere.
This site does not have a human-built history but is a natural phenomenon that has existed for a long time, with hot water continuously spouting from underground. The beautiful sight of steam rising creates a constant, picturesque scene.
Unlike other developed hot springs, Muang Paeng Hot Spring has been kept in its original state to preserve its ecosystem and natural value. This makes it known as a truly genuine ecotourism site.
A popular activity is boiling eggs, which are sold by small local vendors. Visitors can buy raw eggs and boil them directly in the hot spring, which takes only a few minutes. Additionally, it is a great place to sit back, relax, enjoy the mountain views, and take photos of the steam rising from the water.
This location is perfect for those who appreciate natural and rugged tourism, seek tranquility, and want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
If you want to experience an authentic hot spring environment and get closer to nature, Muang Paeng Hot Spring is a highly interesting destination.
