Wat Saen Thong is located in the Mae Sariang District. It is the first temple of Mae Sariang. Even now, this temple has been renovated. No remains of the old architecture to be seen however, on the abbot's cubicle, Phra Phet and Phra Saen Thong are enshrined. Which is an old Buddha image paired with Mae Sariang city There is an important thing that is a Phra Saen Thong, a Buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara. Cast in bronze which is one of the oldest and most beautiful Chiang Saen arts, And at Wat Saen Thong, Phra Buddha Sihing is also enshrined.
The villagers call it "Phra Petch" or "Phra Sing Nueng", which has been worshiped by the people of the city from the past. Those interested can contact the monks inside the temple to request a visit.
