“Peaceful beach with shady pine trees and rich nature, featuring both sandy shores and mangroves—ideal for relaxing, sunset views, and outdoor activities.”

Haad Prapasis a tranquil beach on the Andaman coast, located within Laem Son National Park It stretches for several kilometers and is notably wide—especially during low tide, when the shoreline expands significantly. This makes it ideal for walking, jogging, or group activities such as light camping and picnics.

The sand here is light brown to gray rather than powdery white, due to sediment from nearby canals and surrounding mangrove ecosystems. Rather than a drawback, this contributes to the area’s ecological richness, supporting diverse marine life such as small aquatic species, crabs, shellfish, and shorebirds.

A long line of pine trees runs parallel to the beach, acting as natural windbreaks and providing shade. This creates a calm and cool atmosphere, perfect for extended relaxation—distinct from more crowded tourist beaches. The beach is also an excellent sunset viewpoint, offering unobstructed views of golden light reflecting across the sea.

The surrounding area is home to small traditional fishing communities, where visitors can observe local lifestyles, fishing boats, and coastal practices that reflect the cultural identity of Ranong.

Historically, the beach was named in honor of a royal visit by Plaek Phibunsongkhram, which led to the name “Haad Prapas” being used to this day.

From an eco-tourism perspective, this destination is best suited for travelers seeking unspoiled nature rather than commercial facilities. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own supplies and help preserve the environment by avoiding littering, protecting coastal vegetation, and not disturbing wildlife.

Overall, Haad Prapas stands out for its combination of peacefulness and natural richness, making it ideal for relaxation, nature photography, and eco-friendly travel rather than high-intensity water sports like diving or jet skiing.
