“Pay respect to the largest statue of Kruba Srivichai standing majestically on a hillside, enjoy panoramic views of Lamphun’s gateway area, and relax while browsing local products in a peaceful setting.”
The Kruba Srivichai Monument at Doi Ti is a major landmark marking the entrance to Lamphun Province and Northern Thailand. Located near Wat Phra That Doi Ti, about 5 kilometers from Lamphun city, the monument was built to honor Kruba Srivichai, a highly revered monk known as the spiritual leader and great developer of the Lanna region.
He lived between 1878–1938 (B.E. 2421–2481) and was born in Ban Pang, Li District, Lamphun. Locals take immense pride in him as a true “son of Lamphun” and the most respected “Saint of Lanna.”

His most famous achievement was leading the construction of the historic road to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai. He also played a vital role in restoring more than 100 temples across Northern Thailand through the collective faith and volunteer efforts of local communities.
