“A spacious green area in the city center with shady trees and direct access to the Loei River. The suspension bridge within the park stands as a signature landmark and a favorite photo spot for both locals and visitors.”
Chaloem Phrakiat Public Park, Pa Loeng Yai, covers an area of approximately 30 rai (around 4.8 hectares) and lies along the Loei River — one of the province’s main waterways. The park features beautifully designed landscapes with decorative flowers, ornamental plants, and a variety of trees providing shade throughout the area. It offers a tranquil atmosphere, ideal for walking, relaxing, and outdoor leisure.
The suspension bridge is the park’s most distinctive landmark. Visitors can walk across it and enjoy panoramic views of the Loei River and surrounding greenery. During sunset, the warm golden light reflecting on the river and the bridge creates a picturesque and romantic scene.
The park also includes outdoor fitness areas, a playground for children, and an open plaza used for local festivals and community events hosted by Loei Municipality — such as Loy Krathong Festival, national holidays, and health and fitness activities.
In the late afternoon, the park comes alive with people jogging, cycling, and relaxing by the river, making it one of the most popular recreation areas for locals and tourists alike.
