Tad Dao Waterfall is one of the largest and most remarkable waterfalls in Si Satchanalai National Park. It originates from the Mae Tha Phae stream, flowing through layers of granite and ancient laterite rock formations, creating a three-tier waterfall system. The lower tier is the most spectacular, featuring a wide cliff where water splits into two main streams before plunging into a large basin below with powerful force.

The waterfall stands at approximately 30 meters in height_, and during the rainy season, fine mist spreads across the area. When sunlight hits the mist, it creates a stunning natural rainbow effect, which is one of the highlights of this destination.

From a geological perspective, the area was formed through long-term natural erosion, shaping steep cliffs and complex waterfall layers over thousands of years. The surrounding ecosystem consists of montane forest and mixed deciduous forest, which remains highly rich in biodiversity.

The waterfall is located about 3 kilometers from the park headquarters, and visitors must hike along a nature trail following the Mae Tha Phae stream. The route includes several stream crossings and steep sections near the end, making it a moderate to challenging trekking experience, ideal for adventure seekers.
