Bo Nam Bun locally referred to as "Nam Bun," is situated within the Ban Non Bon Community Forest in Bung Wai Sub-district, Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. It is a remarkable natural spring and a rare geological phenomenon in the Northeast region of Thailand. The term "Bun" in the local Isan dialect describes the continuous bubbling or welling up of water from beneath the earth's surface. This water rises through layers of fine white sand, which act as a natural filtration system, resulting in exceptionally clear water. The clarity allows visitors to see the sandy bottom clearly, and the water often reflects a stunning emerald or turquoise hue. This site is meticulously managed by the Ban Non Bon community as an eco-tourism destination that preserves the surrounding "Bung Tham" (wetland forest) ecosystem.

Geologically, Bo Nam Bun is formed by groundwater converging in a natural basin, characterized by a constant cool temperature year-round regardless of the external heat. This makes it a popular retreat for locals and tourists seeking to cool off in the refreshing waters. To accommodate visitors while protecting the headwater ecosystem, the community has constructed wooden bridges and elevated walkways that offer scenic views without disturbing the natural terrain. The area is shaded by a dense canopy of large indigenous trees, providing a tranquil and serene atmosphere. Beyond being a recreational spot, Bo Nam Bun represents the strong bond between the community and their natural resources, evidenced by strict local regulations such as the ban on using soaps or chemicals in the water to ensure its pristine quality remains preserved for future generations.

• From Ubon Ratchathani city center, take Highway 226 (heading towards Sisaket). Upon reaching Bung Wai Sub-district, turn left into Ban Non Bon and follow the signs for "Bo Nam Bun." It is approximately 15-20 km from the city, and the road to the village is well-paved and accessible.

• Bring a change of clothes and towels if you plan to swim in the pond.

• Help keep the area clean by taking all trash back out of the community forest.

• Do not use soap, shampoo, or any chemicals in the water to preserve clarity.

• Avoid wearing shoes near the sandy edges of the pond to prevent murkiness.

• Closely supervise small children as some parts of the pond vary in depth.
