“An insightful cultural space highlighting Thailand’s labour struggles, workers’ movements, and the evolution of rights through engaging exhibitions.”
The Thai Labour Museum is a unique museum dedicated to the history of workers and the labour movement in Thailand. Through permanent and rotating exhibitions, it presents powerful stories of workers' struggles, trade union formation, strikes, and the development of labour laws in the country.
The museum features multiple themed rooms, such as the Early Labour Era Room, Women Workers Room, Labour Law Room, and Labour Reform Room. These rooms contain historical documents, old photographs, protest banners, work tools, and audio recordings that bring the voice of Thai workers to life.
The atmosphere is quiet and contemplative, making it an ideal place to reflect on the contributions and hardships of Thai labourers. It is also a hub for researchers and human rights activists interested in social justice and economic equity.
Ideal for students, academics, history lovers, and those interested in human rights and social change, the museum offers an alternative lens into Thailand’s social development.
