“Soak in panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River from Thailand’s tallest Ferris wheel and admire the grandeur of the Sirimahannop Tall Ship, all while shopping in beautifully restored historic warehouses.”
Asiatique The Riverfront is a large-scale riverside lifestyle destination along the Chao Phraya River that seamlessly blends historical heritage with contemporary urban living. The site was originally a trading port and warehouse complex of the East Asiatic Company during the reign of King Rama V, playing a crucial role in Siam’s international maritime trade. The redevelopment carefully preserved the original brick warehouses, steel structures, and large wooden doors, maintaining the industrial charm of the past while transforming the space into a vibrant modern attraction.
More than just a shopping complex, Asiatique functions as a “living museum,” narrating Thailand’s commercial prosperity through thoughtfully designed districts such as the Factory District, Town Square District, and Waterfront District. Each zone offers a distinct architectural style, ambiance, and retail concept, allowing visitors to experience diverse atmospheres within one cohesive destination.
Its most iconic landmark is Asiatique Sky, a giant Ferris wheel rising over 60 meters above the riverfront. From its cabins, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok’s skyline—particularly breathtaking at sunset when the sky transforms into shades of gold and crimson. Another highlight is the majestic Sirimahannop, Thailand’s largest three-masted sailing ship, elegantly converted into a fine-dining restaurant. The vessel evokes the romantic era of ocean voyages and pays tribute to Thailand’s maritime trading heritage.
Throughout the grounds, bronze sculptures depicting dockworkers and sailors enrich the cultural narrative of the site, reinforcing its historical identity while enhancing its artistic appeal. Every element is intentionally curated to bridge the past with the present.
From late afternoon into the night, Asiatique transforms into a vibrant entertainment haven illuminated by decorative lights and live music. With more than 1,500 shops, visitors can explore fashion boutiques, handcrafted goods, souvenirs, and creative design products. Riverside restaurants offer a wide spectrum of culinary experiences—from authentic Thai cuisine and popular street food to upscale international dining. A leisurely stroll along one of Bangkok’s longest river promenades, accompanied by cool river breezes and shimmering city lights across the water, creates an unforgettable and romantic atmosphere.
For performing arts enthusiasts, Asiatique hosts internationally acclaimed shows such as Calypso Cabaret and performances by the Joe Louis Puppet Theatre, which beautifully blend traditional Thai artistry with modern theatrical techniques.
Asiatique The Riverfront is therefore not merely a tourist attraction, but a meaningful cultural space where history, leisure, art, and modern lifestyle converge along the timeless flow of the Chao Phraya River—creating treasured memories with every visit.
