“Travel back in time to experience the authentic atmosphere of old shops and city life through a collection of rare daily items under the concept "Keep today, for tomorrow it becomes old."”

The Museum House was founded by Anek Navikamul along with a group of dedicated supporters, with the aim of collecting and exhibiting everyday household items from Thailand’s past. Located in Thawi Watthana district of Bangkok, the museum serves as a living archive of memories, reflecting Thai lifestyles across several decades through ordinary objects that were once part of daily life.

The museum complex is divided into multiple zones that faithfully recreate old-style shops and public spaces. Visitors can explore replicas of traditional pharmacies, barbershops, grocery stores, and even a small vintage cinema. Every detail is carefully arranged, allowing guests to feel as though they have stepped back in time to an era when simplicity carried its own distinctive charm and warmth.

What makes this museum truly unique is its friendly and accessible exhibition style. The items on display are not expensive antiques but familiar objects such as tin toys, red-bordered school notebooks, vintage soda bottles, colorful advertising signs, and early household appliances. These everyday artifacts not only provide historical knowledge but also awaken cherished memories for older generations while fascinating younger visitors who may be seeing them for the first time.

The atmosphere inside the museum is peaceful and welcoming, ideal for exploring stories of the past that may not be recorded in textbooks but are vividly conveyed through tangible objects. The wooden houses and miniature shophouses are thoughtfully designed to reflect Thai lifestyles during the mid-20th century. Walking through the museum becomes both a relaxing experience and a meaningful journey into the cultural roots and social transformations of Thailand.

Beyond being a learning center, The Museum House is also a paradise for vintage lovers and photography enthusiasts seeking nostalgic backdrops. Friends and families often gather here to reminisce about childhood memories sparked by familiar toys and household items. Operated with passion by volunteers, the museum radiates warmth, hospitality, and pride in preserving the nation’s cultural heritage.

We warmly invite you to relive treasured memories, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of bygone days, and help preserve the simple yet invaluable objects that hold profound emotional significance at The Museum House.
