“Experience a world-class museum showcasing over 300 bizarre exhibits and be captivated by the 12D Motion Master cinema that offers a fully immersive, multi-sensory adventure.”
Ripley's Believe It or Not Pattaya is located on the 3rd floor of Royal Garden Plaza, South Pattaya. It exhibits over 300 miraculous oddities from around the world, collected by Mr. Robert Ripley, an American explorer, since 1918. His life was incredibly adventurous; for over 40 years, he sought out mysteries and witnessed miracles firsthand. He traveled to 198 countries—equivalent to 18 times around the world to gather data on the traditions and beliefs of both ancient and modern civilizations.
The unique and rare features here are the extraordinary collections, such as the authentic shrunken heads from Ecuador a ritual of the Jivaro Indians, the three-legged horse, the four-eyed man, and Liu Chung, a man with double pupils in each eye. Additionally, there are breathtaking artworks like a ship model made from over 1 million matchsticks and "The Last Supper" painted on a 10-cent coin, reflecting Ripley's belief that "the strangest thing of all is mankind."
Beyond the museum, there is the Motion Master cinema, featuring special seats that move in 8 directions, a surround-sound system, and a 70mm giant screen that makes viewers feel as if they are part of the action. The atmosphere is also filled with modern innovations like the "Credit Card Bible," with text only one-fifth the size of a human hair, requiring a 100x magnification lens to read.
This is a paradise for photographers and friends looking to discover the meaning of "Believe It or Not" through Ripley's legacy. Although he passed away in 1949, his spirit of adventure lives on in this museum, which continues to receive new stories and oddities from people around the world, fulfilling Ripley's own answer that strange things can be "found everywhere and at any time." We invite you to witness the world's most shocking truths and experience the wonder with your own eyes today.
