“A pristine beach that preserves both natural beauty and the spirit of an old fishing community, featuring breathtaking sunset views framed by casuarina trees and a local-priced fresh seafood market”

Bang Saray Beach is considered the hidden gem of Sattahip, steadfastly preserving its unique identity as a traditional fishing community. Spanning approximately 1.5 kilometers, the beach stands out with its fine brownish-gold sand and water that is notably clearer than the inner zones of Pattaya. Due to its geography as a curved bay that gently hugs the wind, the waves are calm, making it a perfect sanctuary for relaxation under the natural shade of large Casuarina and Sea Almond trees that line the shore.

The defining characteristic that sets Bang Saray apart is the soul of its original seafaring village. Here, you will see vibrant, colorful local fishing boats moored just offshore, reflecting a simple and unhurried way of life. Today, the Bang Saray community has evolved into a model for community-based tourism, where ancient wooden houses and traditional architecture are carefully preserved alongside creative Street Art that tells tales of the sea. This ensures that every street corner offers a story far deeper than just a typical beach visit.

Ecologically, Bang Saray is a highly fertile area and a vital habitat for various marine species. This abundance fuels a high-quality, fresh seafood industry that is second to none. Visitors can experience the true "taste of the sea" at restaurants built on wooden piers extending over the water. Beyond the exceptional cuisine, you can breathe in pure air free from industrial pollution or the congestion of high-rise buildings, making this area an essential Green Lung by the sea for Chonburi Province.

For art and lifestyle enthusiasts, Bang Saray serves as a natural studio with a diverse play of light and shadow. In the early morning, you will find artists sketching the lively scene of the morning catch at the old pier. In the evening, the golden hour light hitting the horizon against the silhouette of fishing boats is a must-capture for photographers. Furthermore, there are tastefully decorated cafes in old wooden houses, perfect for those seeking a quiet corner to read or find inspiration for their next creative project.

Bang Saray Beach is not just a travel destination; it is the perfect intersection of nature, culture, and tranquility. It warmly welcomes those who yearn for simplicity and wish to fully recharge their life's energy once again.

How to Get There
  • By Private Car: Take Sukhumvit Road (Highway 3) towards Sattahip. Pass the Ban Amphur intersection; at KM 164, look for the sign for Bang Saray Municipality. Turn right and drive to the end of Thetsaban 1 Road to find the dolphin and whale sculpture roundabout.

  • By Public Transport: Take a van or minibus (Bangkok–Sattahip route) from Ekkamai or Mo Chit Bus Terminal. Get off at the Bang Saray entrance, then take a blue songthaew (local truck) or motorbike taxi to the beach.

  • By Train: Take the ordinary train (No. 283/284) or the special air-conditioned railcar to Suan Nong Nooch Station, then hire a local vehicle to the beach.

Travel Tips
  • Best Visiting Season: Recommended from October to May when the sea is calmest and the water is clearest. On some weekends, look out for the Bang Saray Walking Street for local handmade goods.

  • Recommended Activity: Rent a bicycle to ride through the old community. Cycling past the vintage wooden houses and street art offers a much more intimate experience than driving.

  • Buying Seafood: For the freshest catch directly from the boats, visit the fishing pier in the early morning to get premium quality at fisherman prices.

  • Photography: Don’t miss the Bang Saray Fishing Pier and the "Marine Life Monument" at the roundabout, which are the iconic landmarks of the area.
