Khao Khad View Tower, also known as “Panwa Viewpoint” or “Khao Khad Viewpoint,” is a hidden gem offering one of the most breathtaking views on Phuket Island. The highlight of this location is its two-story octagonal observation tower, specifically designed for a true 360-degree panoramic view. The upper level is covered with a roof for sun and rain protection and features seating areas where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery with a refreshing sea breeze.

From the viewing deck, visitors can enjoy spectacular views in every direction:

• West: Chalong Bay, lush green hills, and the iconic Big Buddha on Nakkerd Hill, especially beautiful during sunset
• East: The Andaman Sea, Makham Bay, Cape Panwa, and Koh Sirey, a local fishing community

• South: Koh Lone, Coral Island (Koh Hey), and Racha Yai Island, with the possibility of seeing the Phi Phi Islands on clear days

• By car: Approximately 15 minutes from Phuket Town. Head toward Chalong, turn onto Sakdidej Road, and follow the signs to “Khao Khad Viewpoint.” Parking is available, and the site is easily accessible by private car or rental motorbike.

• The best time to visit is late afternoon for sunset views and golden light over Chalong Bay

• If visiting at midday, bring drinking water, a hat, or an umbrella for sun protection
