The pier is on the estuary of the Khong Bang Rong, a river on the eastern side of Phuket. The ferry journey time between Phuket Bang Rong Pier and Koh Yao Noi is around 30 min and covers a distance of around 19 km. About 5 passenger ferries depart each day between 09:30 to 17:00 and the journey takes about an hour.

Take the 4027 northwest from the Heorines Monument on the 402 and then follow signs to the pier once past Bang Pae and Bang Rong villages.
