“Experience elephant riding and witness the amazing abilities of Thai elephants in the lush, shaded surroundings of Pattaya.”
Pattaya Elephant Village is one of the most important elephant tourist attractions and shelters in Eastern Thailand, located not far from Pattaya city. The site was established with the commitment to provide sanctuary for old and sick elephants, as well as those retired from heavy labor in the logging and other industries. This is an opportunity for you to see the daily life of elephants up close and learn about the significance of this revered animal in Thai culture.
The highlight of Pattaya Elephant Village is the variety of elephant-related activities available, whether it's riding an elephant to see the surrounding landscape, feeding the elephants, or watching the spectacular performances of the elephants, such as demonstrating their ability to paint, play football, or move logs. These shows are not only entertaining but also emphasize the intelligence and the long-standing bond between humans and elephants in Thai culture.
Pattaya Elephant Village welcomes tourists all year round, but the most pleasant atmosphere is during the cool season (November - February) when the weather is comfortable, suitable for outdoor activities and exploring the area. The atmosphere within the village is shady and natural, making visitors feel relaxed and close to these magnificent animals. A visit here is a memorable and educational experience, especially for families and children.
