“Famous for the emerald-green Kor Luang Waterfall, relaxing rafting at Kaeng Ko, wildlife camping at Thung Kik grassland, and the spectacular Ping River curve view from Pha Daeng Luang viewpoint.”
Mae Ping National Park covers more than 1,000 square kilometers across Chiang Mai, Lamphun, and Tak provinces. The main headquarters is located in Li District, Lamphun, and the park is considered one of Northern Thailand’s most important forest ecosystems.
Geological Diversity:
The landscape features limestone mountains, steep cliffs, and vast open grasslands. These unique formations create iconic attractions such as crystal-clear limestone waterfalls and dramatic river gorges along the Ping River.
Adventure & Nature Activities:
Visitors can enjoy rafting or kayaking at Kaeng Ko, relax in peaceful riverside scenery, or camp at Thung Kik — a wide savanna-like field ideal for stargazing and wildlife spotting, including barking deer, deer, and many bird species.
How to Get There
- By Car: From Lamphun town, drive along Highway 106 toward Li District, then take Highway 1087 directly to the park headquarters. The road is fully paved.
