“Visit Huay Mae Khamin, Thailand’s most stunning seven-tiered waterfall. Relax by the Srinagarind reservoir amidst lush forests with world-class campsites and breathtaking scenic viewpoints.”

Srinagarindra National Park is one of the most abundant natural forests in Kanchanaburi Province. It encompasses limestone mountains, dry evergreen forests, mixed deciduous forests, and the area above the Srinagarindra Dam reservoir, a large hydroelectric power plant in Thailand. The park's landscape is characterized by complex mountain ranges stretching along the Tenasserim Mountains, resulting in a diverse ecosystem including watersheds, streams, limestone caves, and highly pristine forests. It is also home to a variety of wildlife, such as barking deer, deer, wild boar, gibbons, and numerous bird species. The park was declared a national park in 1981 and covers an area of over 950,000 rai.

The most important tourist attraction in the park is "Huai Mae Khamin Waterfall", considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand. This waterfall is formed by a stream flowing down from the Kala Mountains. Before cascading down through seven natural limestone tiers—Dong Wan, Man Khamin, Wang Na Pha, Chat Kaeo, Lai Chon Long, Dong Phi Suea, and Rom Klao—the waterfall stands out with its unique shape and character. The "Chat Kaeo" tier is particularly striking, cascading in a white curtain over emerald green pools formed by the limestone and the natural flow of the water, making it a popular spot for photos. The first four tiers are easily accessible on foot, while the fifth to the top tier requires a longer, more leisurely hike along a natural trail.

Besides Huai Mae Khamin Waterfall, the national park boasts several other natural attractions, including Tham Phra Prang, a large limestone cave with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, and a rock formation resembling a pagoda. There's also Tham Sawan, a cave with a large chamber and a well-preserved underground natural ecosystem. Parts of the park border the Srinakarin Dam reservoir, creating a large lake surrounded by mountains. Tourists can enjoy rafting, kayaking, or boating on the water, particularly during the tranquil and beautiful mornings and evenings when a thin mist floats above the surface.

Within the park, there are several nature trails and campsites. The campsite near Huai Mae Khamin Waterfall is the most popular because of its proximity to the waterfall and reservoir, allowing tourists to experience cool weather year-round. During the winter, morning temperatures are quite low and the area is often covered in fog. The rainy season is when the waterfall has the most water, with a vibrant green color and beautiful flow, making it ideal for hiking, swimming, and taking nature photos. Even though the water level decreases during the summer, it is still worth visiting as the waterfall has water flowing year-round.

Traveling to Srinakarin Dam National Park is much more convenient now than before. The main road from Kanchanaburi city to Si Sawat district is paved all the way, making it easy for tourists to travel by private car. There are also accommodations available, including park bungalows, restaurants, shops, and relaxation areas along the reservoir. This makes the park suitable for nature lovers, hikers, photographers, and families seeking a relaxing getaway amidst the forests, mountains, and rivers of Kanchanaburi province.
