Asdang Bridge is a unique and very important wooden bridge on Koh Sichang. It is located in the area of Phra Chudadhuj Palace, which was the only summer palace in Thailand built on an island. The bridge is made of teak wood and painted in clean white. King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) ordered its construction to celebrate the recovery of his son, Prince Asdang Dejavudh, from an illness after staying on this island.

The most famous feature is the classic wooden pavilions on the bridge. These pavilions are used for resting and enjoying the sea breeze. The bridge starts from the shady coast and stretches into the deep blue ocean. In the past, this area was the main pier for royal ships and large trade ships from foreign countries. The area around the bridge is filled with ancient Frangipani trees. These trees were planted during the reign of King Rama V. They have beautiful branches and white flowers with a sweet smell. From February to April, the white flowers fall onto the wooden bridge, creating a very peaceful and beautiful view. Many tourists like to sit in the pavilions at the end of the bridge to listen to the waves and watch small fish in the water.

• From the Main Pier: Take a Skylab to Phra Chudadhuj Palace. It costs about 40-60 THB. Tell the driver you want to go to Wang Kao or the White Bridge.

• By Walking: It is about 1.5 kilometers from the main pier. You can walk through the local village and enjoy the sea view until you reach the palace entrance.

• Parking: There is a large parking area for motorbikes and cars in front of the palace entrance gate.

• Golden Time: The best time is between 07:00 and 09:00. The sunlight is soft, and the water is usually very calm. The evening after 16:30 is also good for golden light.

• Clothing: Wearing light-colored or pastel clothes looks very good with the white bridge. Please wear comfortable shoes because the palace area is quite large.

• Photo Angle: Try walking to the sandy beach next to the bridge and take a photo looking up. You will see the beautiful wooden structure under the bridge.

• Cleanliness: Do not eat food on the bridge. Please put all trash in the bins at the entrance to keep the water clean.
