Songkhla Zoo is located on Khao Rup Chang hill and is designed as an open zoo, where animals live in environments that closely resemble their natural habitats. The area is spacious and features steep terrain, creating an up-and-down hill route for visitors, with multiple offering panoramic views of Songkhla Lake.
The zoo is clearly divided into zones based on geography and animal types, including:
African Zone
Designed to replicate a savanna landscape, this area features animals such as giraffes, zebras, and ostriches. Visitors can feed giraffes at designated , making it one of the most popular activities.
Predator Zone
Home to large carnivores such as tigers and lions, this zone provides wide enclosures that allow animals greater freedom of movement.
Reptile Zone

Hornbill Zone (Main Highlight)

How to Get There
- By Car: From Songkhla city, take Songkhla–Na Thawi Road (Highway 408) toward Na Thawi. The zoo is located on the right-hand side, approximately 7 kilometers from the city center.

- Visit early in the morning when the weather is cooler and animals are more active
- Rent a golf cart, as the area is large and quite steep
- Enjoy the water park in the afternoon
- Bring drinking water, a hat, and sunscreen
