“Admire the sacred white marble Buddha, coral stone church, Viharn Phra Roi which houses ancient Buddha images, and the Buddha's footprint on the stone circle.”

Wat Samret is located in the Ban Na Khai area. It is an ancient temple famous for its sacredness and antiquity. Although the year of construction is not certain, the atmosphere of antiquity tells a story through time. It is not just a place to rest the mind, but also a museum of Buddhist art that collects many masterpieces of stone carvings and woodworking.

Buddhist Art from Mandalay: The large white marble Buddha image, the principal Buddha image in the Viharn, is made of pure marble from Mandalay, Myanmar. Skilled craftsmen meticulously carved it before inviting it to be enshrined here, paired with the Buddha's footprint on a stone circle over 80 years old.

Coral Stone Church: A rare highlight. The church is built of coral stone, helping to keep the interior cool throughout the day, reflecting the ancient construction wisdom of the Samui people.

Viharn Phra Roi: Inside, many Buddha images are enshrined, both stucco, carved wood, and stone, collected from old temples and dilapidated houses to be restored to preserve Buddhist art.

The name Wat Samret: Conveys the meaning of determination and mindfulness in doing anything will lead to success, making this a destination for those starting a new business or project. Come and ask for blessings for encouragement and success.

The atmosphere of the temple is shady and peaceful, suitable for paying respect to the Buddha, meditating, and admiring the fusion of Thai, Chinese, and Western architecture.
