“Visit the four overlapping Buddha footprints on a hilltop while enjoying 360-degree panoramic views of coconut groves and the Gulf of Thailand, reached via a shaded natural staircase in a peaceful setting.”
Khao Le Buddha Footprint is a serene hilltop religious site located in the southern part of Koh Samui. It features a traditional wooden pavilion that houses beautifully crafted Buddha footprints, surrounded by lush greenery and a tranquil atmosphere ideal for both spiritual visits and relaxation.
The highlight of the site is the four overlapping Buddha footprints, symbolizing the four Buddhas of this era. Each footprint is intricately decorated with 108 auspicious symbols, reflecting deep Buddhist beliefs and fine craftsmanship.
To reach the top, visitors must climb over 150 steps through coconut groves and tropical vegetation. The journey offers a peaceful, almost meditative experience, with resting spots along the way. At the summit, you are rewarded with a 360-degree panoramic view of coconut plantations and the Gulf of Thailand.
As a small monastic site, the area remains quiet, uncrowded, and spiritually serene, making it perfect for slow travelers, meditation, and those seeking a meaningful cultural and natural experience.
