“Stroll along the long stretch of fine white sandy beach and admire the intricate patterns painted on colorful kolae boats lined up along the shore.”

Talok Kapor Beach derives its name from the local Malay language: “Talok” means bay, and “Kapor” means lime, together referring to “Lime Bay.” In the past, this area was known for collecting cockle shells that were burned to produce lime for traditional betel chewing.

Today, the beach has become a major landmark of Yaring District, admired for its clean white sands and the calm blue waters of the Gulf of Thailand, especially during favorable seasons.

One of its most distinctive charms is the sight of numerous colorfully painted kolae fishing boats anchored along the shoreline. These traditional boats feature intricate Thai–Malay artistic patterns, reflecting local wisdom and the enduring maritime lifestyle of the community.

The beach also offers spacious public areas suitable for recreation, barbecues, and family picnics under the shade of pine trees. During weekends and holidays, the atmosphere becomes lively with local families and visitors from nearby provinces.

In addition to its natural beauty, the area now features seaside cafés and villa-style resorts, such as Capoala Villa & Cafe, providing a modern coastal retreat experience. Children can safely enjoy playing on the sand, while visitors can savor fresh seafood and local specialties from restaurants lining the beach.

Talok Kapor Beach is therefore a must-visit destination for those seeking to experience the authentic coastal identity of Pattani.
