“Relax on the soft white sandy beach shaded by coastal pine trees and observe the traditional fishing lifestyle of the local seaside community.”
Chonlalai Beach is one of the serene coastal gems of Pattani Province, located in Panare District. The beach is characterized by its light-colored fine sand and a gently sloping shoreline that gradually meets the waters of the Gulf of Thailand, making the sea appear clear and calm. The surrounding landscape is lined with rows of coastal pine trees, providing natural shade and a refreshing sea breeze throughout the day.
The name “Chonlalai” reflects the abundance of water and the natural richness of the coastal environment. The wide open sea view stretching to the horizon creates a tranquil atmosphere that allows visitors to immediately feel relaxed and connected with nature.
The beach is also home to Ban Nam Bo fishing village, a long-established coastal community. Visitors can observe authentic scenes of local fishermen repairing nets, preparing fishing gear, or returning to shore in the early morning with their daily catch. Traditional Korlae fishing boats, known for their colorful decorative patterns, can often be seen along the shore, reflecting the deep maritime culture of the Panare coastline.
In recent years, the beach area has been gently developed to provide more convenience for visitors while preserving its natural charm. Seaside rest pavilions have been arranged along the beach, offering pleasant spaces for family picnics or quiet relaxation while listening to the sound of waves and the sea breeze. Visiting Chonlalai Beach is therefore not only about enjoying the beauty of the Pattani coastline, but also about experiencing the peaceful rhythm of a coastal community that continues to live in harmony with nature.
