“A peaceful natural wetland untouched by commercial development, offering views of traditional local fishing lifestyles and beautiful sunsets over the wide water surface amid rural scenery”
Bueng Nam Klat is an important natural water source reflecting the richness of the Phichit river basin and has long supported the livelihoods of Wang Samrong villagers.
Physical Characteristics
The wetland is large and filled with clean water throughout the year. Aquatic plants grow naturally along its edges, providing habitats for various freshwater fish species and migratory water birds during different seasons.
Local Lifestyle and Culture
Bueng Nam Klat acts as a natural marketplace for the community. Villagers continue traditional fishing practices such as lift-net fishing and rowing small boats, alongside farming along the wetland’s banks—scenes rarely seen in modern urban areas.
Water Management Role
Beyond recreation, the wetland functions as a natural retention basin, helping reduce flooding during the rainy season and storing water for agricultural use during dry periods, keeping the surrounding area green year-round.
Tourism Atmosphere
Ideal for visitors seeking quiet relaxation, nature photography, reading, or experiencing the calm and simplicity of rural Thai life.
