“A natural wonder where 60°C hot springs sit steps away from a cold mountain stream, offering relaxation amidst stunning limestone cliffs and lush scenery.”

Hot Springs and Cold Stream is located at the foot of a limestone mountain in Khao Chaison District, one of Southern Thailand’s notable wellness destinations. What makes this site truly distinctive is its rare natural phenomenon—hot and cold water sources occurring within a short walking distance—allowing visitors to enjoy two contrasting experiences in a single location.

The hot springs consist of naturally emerging mineral water from underground, with temperatures ranging approximately between 40–60°C. The water is clear and lacks a strong sulfur odor, making it suitable for relaxation. In general wellness practice, soaking in mineral water is believed to help ease muscle tension, support blood circulation, and promote an overall sense of rejuvenation.

The area has been thoughtfully developed to accommodate visitors, offering a variety of facilities including public foot-soaking pools, communal bathing areas, and private bathing rooms for those seeking a more tranquil experience. Basic amenities and rest areas are also available, ensuring a comfortable and convenient visit.

Just 50–100 meters from the hot spring zone, a short walkway leads to the “Cold Stream,” where crystal-clear water flows naturally from a cave within the limestone formation. The water remains refreshingly cool throughout the year, even during the hottest months. This unique proximity allows visitors to enjoy a form of natural contrast bathing, alternating between warm and cool water for a refreshing and revitalizing experience.

Beyond the water attractions, the surrounding environment retains the lush character of a limestone ecosystem, with shaded areas provided by mature trees. Visitors may also encounter wild monkeys inhabiting the cliffs, so it is advisable to keep personal belongings secure. The site also features traditional Thai massage services operated by local residents, as well as shops offering locally made products from Phatthalung. Altogether, a visit here is not only about relaxation, but also an opportunity to connect with the local community and support sustainable tourism.
