“A natural hot spring with temperatures around 80°C, famous for egg boiling in just 7 minutes, plus modern and clean foot-soaking and private mineral bath areas.”

Betong Hot Spring is a natural geothermal attraction formed by underground heat. Rainwater seeps deep into rock layers beneath the earth’s surface, where it is heated by geothermal energy before rising back up. The emerging water has an average temperature of around 70–80°C and contains essential minerals such as sulfate, calcium, and magnesium. These minerals are believed to help improve blood circulation, relieve muscle pain, and nourish the skin.

The area has been well-developed to accommodate visitors and is divided into several zones:

  • Natural Hot Spring Zone
The origin point of the hot spring, where visitors can see steam rising continuously from the surface.
  • Egg-Boiling Zone
A signature activity of the hot spring. Visitors can buy eggs from local vendors and boil them in the central pool. It takes about 5–7 minutes, resulting in soft whites and creamy yolks, similar to onsen eggs.
  • Foot-Soaking Zone
A public soaking area with controlled temperatures, ideal for relaxing and relieving fatigue.
  • Private Mineral Bath Zone
Private bathing rooms are available, separated for men and women or for families, offering a more comfortable and hygienic experience.

In terms of landscape, the surroundings are thoughtfully designed to blend with nature. The area features landscaped gardens, flowering plants, and walking paths where visitors can stroll and enjoy fresh air throughout the day. In the early morning or after rainfall, steam rising from the hot spring mixes with light mist, creating an atmosphere similar to a mountain onsen.

Additionally, there are local community shops and OTOP products that reflect the area’s identity, including local food, souvenirs, and herbal products. Seating areas and small activity spaces are also available, making this destination not only a natural attraction but also a hub of local culture and community life.

Street Art
At the entrance and nearby areas, visitors will find vibrant street art that tells the story of Betong’s local lifestyle, culture, and hot spring traditions. These artworks add visual charm and have become popular photo spots, especially with murals designed to harmonize with the natural and community surroundings.
