“One of the most important and fertile water bird watching areas in southern Thailand, and a key learning center for peat swamp forest ecosystems.”

Khlong Lam Chan Wildlife Non-Hunting Area (formerly known as Khlong Lam Chan Water Bird Park) covers an area of approximately 1,500 rai. It is a highly fertile peat swamp forest and serves as the source of Khlong Lam Chan, an important waterway that sustains surrounding agricultural areas.

This area features a unique ecosystem combining peat swamp forest and tropical rainforest, resulting in remarkable biodiversity. It is considered a paradise for birdwatchers, with surveys recording more than 120 species of water birds and migratory birds, including herons, ducks, and several rare migratory species.

The main tourism activity at Khlong Lam Chan is boat trips for nature observation along the canal and through the peat swamp forest. Visitors can experience the peaceful atmosphere of nature, observe wildlife behavior, and admire the beauty of native plant species up close.

In addition, there are nature study trails that allow visitors to walk and learn about the peat swamp forest ecosystem and various plant species such as Melaleuca trees, which are characteristic of wetland environments. Visitors are advised to contact park officials for information and to use eco-tour guides in order to gain the best possible experience.
