Ton Tae Waterfall is located in Palian Subdistrict, Palian District, Trang Province. It is a large waterfall and is recognized as the highest waterfall in Trang, with its water source originating from the Banthat Mountain Range. The water flows gracefully down multiple rock layers, forming a continuous cascade with a total height_ of more than 300 meters, and flows throughout the year.
Visitors can enjoy swimming in the clear and cool natural pool at the base of the waterfall. For adventure and nature lovers, Ton Tae Waterfall also offers a shaded nature study trail surrounded by mixed deciduous forest. The walking trail is approximately 1 kilometer long, allowing visitors to explore higher levels of the waterfall and experience the rich forest ecosystem along the way.
A visit to Ton Tae Waterfall is often combined with a trip to the nearby Ton Tok Waterfall, which is located along the same route. How to Get There
- Private Car: From Trang town, take Trang–Phatthalung Road (Highway 4), then turn right onto Highway 4142 (Ban Ka Chong–Ban Hat Lao Road). Drive approximately 27 kilometers to the entrance sign, then turn left and continue for about 1 kilometer to reach the waterfall.
- Public Transportation: Take a bus or minivan from Trang town to Palian District. From there, hire a local vehicle (motorcycle taxi or pickup truck) to reach the waterfall, as it is located some distance from the main road.
