Nong Krathing Public Park is located in the Nam Thong area of Mueang Lampang District, about 3 kilometers from the city center along the Lampang–Hang Chat route, just across the Wang River. Its convenient location makes it one of the most popular leisure spots for locals and visitors alike.

This park is the largest public green space in the province. At its center lies a large natural lake, surrounded by landscaped gardens, open lawns, and shaded walking paths. A prominent buffalo (krathing) monument stands proudly within the park, serving as a symbolic landmark. The park is managed by the Lampang Provincial Administrative Organization.

The park is a favorite destination for jogging, walking, cycling, swimming, and paddle boating. It has also hosted sporting events such as mini half-marathons, making it an important outdoor activity venue for the community. The lake is home to various fish species, and feeding fish is a popular activity among families with children.

• By Car: From Lampang city center, cross the Wang River and follow the Lampang–Hang Chat road for approximately 3 kilometers. The park is located along the main road near the Lampang Provincial Stadium, with ample parking available.

• Visit between 6:00–9:00 AM or 4:30–6:30 PM for the best weather.

• Arrive earlier in the evening if you plan to rent a paddle boat to avoid queues.

• Bring fish food if visiting with children.

• Wear comfortable sports shoes if planning to jog or walk around the lake.

• Don’t miss trying the famous som tam stalls around the park.
