“Cruise on a floating bamboo raft with private dining, admire the mountain-framed waters known as “Lampang Sea,” and experience a spectacular sunset viewpoint where golden light shimmers across the reservoir.”

Wang Heua Reservoir is a large reservoir surrounded by lush green mountains on nearly all sides. With its vast open water and cool breeze throughout the year, it has earned the nickname “Lampang Sea.” It serves as a popular relaxation hub for locals and visitors from nearby provinces. Managed by the Ban Phalad community under an eco-tourism concept, the area maintains its natural charm and peaceful atmosphere.

The Bamboo Raft Experience

The main highlight is renting a floating bamboo raft, which is towed out toward the middle of the reservoir. Visitors can enjoy authentic local dishes, relax with panoramic 360-degree mountain views, jump into the water to cool off, or simply unwind with the gentle breeze. For active travelers, there are also paddle boats and kayaking available, making it ideal for families, couples, and groups of friends.

The Charm of Sunset

The most magical moment occurs in the late afternoon when the sun slowly dips behind the mountains. Shades of orange and pink reflect across the water, creating a romantic and serene setting. It is a favorite spot for photographers and couples, making Wang Heua Reservoir not just a swimming destination but also one of Lampang’s Unseen sunset viewpoints.
