Prai Sawan Waterfall is one of the most beautiful and well-known waterfalls in Trang Province, located within a tropical rainforest area of Yan Ta Khao District. The waterfall originates from the Banthat Mountain Range, and its most distinctive feature is the continuous flow of water cascading through 17 different tiers, each offering its own unique natural beauty.
The waterfall tiers are not extremely steep but extend along the stream, creating a long and scenic natural landscape that showcases the richness of the surrounding forest.

The most popular and easily accessible sections are the lower tiers, especially tiers 1 to 3, which feature large, clear natural pools suitable for safe swimming. These areas are widely favored due to their spacious layout and convenient walking paths.
Higher tiers are more suitable for visitors who enjoy nature trails and light trekking, offering closer views of the waterfall and forest environment. Reaching these upper levels requires caution, good physical condition, and sufficient daylight.

How to Get There

• By Private Car: From Trang city, take the Trang–Yan Ta Khao Road, then turn onto Highway 4004 (Yan Ta Khao–Ban Nai Khuan Road). Upon reaching Ban Huai Pling, turn left and continue for approximately 3 kilometers to reach the waterfall.

• By Public Transportation: Take a bus or minivan from Trang city to Yan Ta Khao District, then hire a local vehicle to reach the waterfall, as it is located some distance away from the main road.

• The best time to visit is during the rainy season (June to October), when the water volume is high and the waterfall is at its most impressive. Visitors should wear appropriate footwear suitable for wet and slippery surfaces.
