Thung Yai Naresuan East Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area and a World Heritage site together with Huai Kha Khaeng, with strict conservation measures.
Significance: It has a complete ecosystem, is the source of several important rivers, and provides refuge for large and rare wildlife.
Wildlife and Flora: Home to over 300 bird species, more than 80 mammals including tigers, elephants, gaur, and banteng. The plant diversity is exceptionally high.
Activities: Ideal for research and studying forest and wildlife ecosystems, with designated camping areas prepared by the sanctuary headquarters.

Private car: Approximately 50 km from Umphang town to the eastern area (Mae La Muang).
