“No evidence of building. There are 3 principal Buddha statues.”
The Buddha cave is located at Moo 4, Tambon South Ao Leuk. From the District, about 2 km inside the cave with 3 Buddha statues around the base, closed to two small-sized carved wooden Buddha statues.
There is no proven evidence about the period of this creation. But it is re-told that the creation should be about the same period of Nakornsrithammarat's grand pagoda. It is believed that the villagers create these three Buddha statues and bury their treasures after Pilgrimage trip at Nakornsrithammarat. This sounds reasonable because here was used to be a walking path across the Malacca Peninsular since ancient time: from Ao Luk to Pak Lao to Pak Panom along the Tapi river.
