“Historical sites of Chiang Saen. The present is an unrepresented temple on the construction.”
Ancient monuments within Phra Chao Thong Noi temple include a Chedi situated behind a Vihan which faces the east. The boundary wall of the temple and other structures were partly destroyed. At present, it is a deserted temple. The constructon background of this temple is unknown. This temple might have been left abandon after 1804 A.D. when Lanna army had a victory over Burmese. It is believed to have been dated to around the 16th century A.D.
