“Witness a crystal-clear natural spring bubbling underground year-round, surrounded by a peaceful forest perfect for refreshing relaxation and photography.”

Nam Phut in Nam Nao District is a natural water source formed by geological processes in the mountainous and forested headwater areas of Nam Nao District, Phetchabun Province. This area is part of the Phetchabun mountain range, boasting lush forests and abundant rainfall during the rainy season. Large amounts of rainwater seep through layers of soil, rock, and sand into the underground, where it is naturally filtered over a long period, becoming clear and clean water. Then, underground pressure pushes the water to the surface through cracks in the rock or soil, forming a "water spring" that flows year-round, even during the dry season, continuously nourishing the surrounding area. It is considered a small ecosystem of significant importance to the Nam Nao area.

The distinctive features of this water spring are the clarity of the water and its naturally cool temperature. This is because the water that springs up is underground water that has been filtered through layers of rock and soil for a long time. Looking into the pool, the sandy bottom or sediment layers are clearly visible, especially when the water is clear. Particularly during the winter and immediately after the rainy season, the water flows slowly and continuously, creating a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The surrounding area is covered with large trees, native plants, and various forest vegetation, resulting in cool and comfortable air throughout the day. Even during the hot summer days, it remains more shady than typical city areas.

Economically, this spring is an important part of the natural water supply in Nam Nao District. The water flowing from the spring collects in small streams, nourishing plants and small wild animals in the surrounding area. The surrounding area remains relatively pristine compared to other natural tourist attractions in many provinces. Tourists can experience the atmosphere of a natural forest up close, hearing the sounds of flowing water and forest birds, and smelling the scent of a well-preserved, humid forest. The tranquility of the place is ideal for those who want to relax, take nature photos, or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the forest without having to spend a long time trekking deep into the woods.

During the rainy season, the area around the spring is especially lush green due to the influence of the forest's humidity and continuous rainfall, allowing moss, ferns, and undergrowth to thrive. In winter, Nam Nao District experiences cooler temperatures, resulting in cool weather almost all day, making the atmosphere around the spring refreshing and perfect for nature tourism. Many people stop by for a relaxing break while traveling to Nam Nao National Park or other attractions along the Lom Sak-Chum Phae route because it's easy to explore, doesn't take long, and offers a peaceful natural experience different from crowded tourist spots.

Although this spring is now becoming more well-known among nature-loving tourists, it remains a popular destination. However, the overall area has retained its natural beauty relatively well. Walking paths and rest areas have been constructed in some places to facilitate tourists without excessively disturbing the environment. Tourism in the area therefore emphasizes conservation. Most tourists come to relax, breathe fresh air, photograph nature, and learn about natural groundwater sources. This is considered one of the key charms of Nam Nao District, Phetchabun Province, which still retains abundant natural resources and a tranquil atmosphere compared to major tourist areas in other regions of Thailand.
