These findings indicate that the cave once served as a temporary shelter for humans during the Late Neolithic period, approximately 5,400–6,400 years ago, making it a crucial site for understanding early human settlement in central Thailand.

Visitors begin their journey at Wat Phukham Banphot, where the atmosphere is peaceful and shaded by surrounding greenery. Access to the cave requires climbing 111 steps up the hillside. How to Get There

Private Car:

From Bangkok, take Phahonyothin Road towards Saraburi-Phra Phuttha Bat. Between KM 130-131, there is an entrance to Wat Phu Kham Chan on the right. Follow the path and turn right before the bridge, then turn right again to enter Wat Phu Kham Banphot.

Public Transport:

Take a van from Bangkok to Saraburi-Lopburi, get off near KM 130, and hire a local taxi to the temple.

Travel Tips

Since you need to climb 111 steps, be physically prepared and wear comfortable walking shoes.
The cave can be damp and dark in some areas; bringing a small flashlight is recommended for better viewing of rock formations.
As it is a temple area, please dress modestly and remain quiet during your visit.
The recommended time is in the morning (08:30 - 10:30) to avoid the afternoon heat and enjoy the beautiful morning light.
