The Local Culture and Arts Museum was established to preserve and transmit the cultural heritage of Tak province, which features ethnic diversity, rich history, and cultural traditions linked to King Taksin the Great.

Main Exhibitions:

  • History of Tak: Displays images and stories about the province’s past from ancient times to the present, including its key role during the Thonburi period.

  • Local Lifestyles and Tools: Showcases everyday tools, clothing, attire, and accessories of ethnic groups such as the Karen (Pga K’nyau) and Lahu people.

  • Folk Arts: Exhibits craftsmanship and artworks reflecting local wisdom and beliefs.

  • Traditional Thai Houses: Features models of Thai houses and important local architecture.

  • Local Culture Museum at Tak Residential School: Collects cultures from different regions and six hill-tribe groups: Hmong, Lisu, Musoe, Yao, Karen, and Akha, highlighting the identity of each group.

Butterfly Garden and Other Activities:

  • Butterfly Garden: Large enclosures housing hundreds of butterfly species.
