Wat Pho Sri, commonly known as Wat Pho Sri Ban Phaeng Tai, is a significant spiritual and historical landmark situated along the Mekong River in Ban Phaeng District, Nakhon Phanom. Beyond its architectural splendor, Wat Pho Sri houses "The Golden Buddha image", a magnificent bronze Buddha image in the Maravijaya posture. Crafted in the Lan Xang artistic style, this sacred image was reportedly brought across the Mekong from the Lao side to serve as the spiritual anchor for the local community. • From Nakhon Phanom city, take Highway 212 towards Ban Phaeng district, approximately 90 kilometers. Upon entering Ban Phaeng sub-district, turn right onto Sunthorn Wichit Road (the road along the Mekong River). The temple will be on your left, next to the Mekong River.
